how fast have you gone?
Buried the needle (110) in a 65 and kept goin, maybe 120 or better...it was scary as hell though the thing was all over the road.
130 '95 Maxima SE, smooth and straight but it was topped out with OD off on the auto.
I'm older now...and more responsible. [:-]

Well to be honest I got booted from VMF last week for posting a thread about how I went over 120 MPH in my 72 mustang the other day. There is a road by my house that goes out to an abanandoned plant. I went 2 notches past 120 ~130 I think. I did this after installing a new suspension, new tires and wheels, new steering components, new transmission, new intake, carb and exhaust and I made sure no one else was arround. They said I was promoting an irresponsible act. I told them you drive a mustang so you support the same irresponsible act. Not to mention every single one of them advised me on how to improve my car to make it faster. Got booted.
Now on to the issue at hand. I have 130 on this car, 160 on my 2000 SS camaro, 175 on my 1994 Mazda RX7 before I added the whale spoiler. 155 on my Triumph Trophy and a Kawasaki ZZX blew by me like I was standing still. BTW I was not racing anyone at these times. I was topping the vehicle out after additions and repairs.

The fastest I have gone was 120mph in a 2001 Monte Carlo SS, it was a one and only type of deals I never really wanted to go faster. When I am on a public street my conscience has really started getting the better of me, there are so many things that I could ruin (including lives) it scares the ****out of me... as for my classic, i would say the highest it has been up to is 80, I will go higher but it will be at the right time and place.
It is not an excuse but anytime I have been over 80 mph it as always been on a 75 or above highway. I will say I do enjoy high speeds.

fastest ive ever gone period is 100.
fastest i took my car when it ran was like 80 lol. i dont like high speeds. i like SUPER fast acceleration though. all i care is about how fast it will go from 0-75 since thats freeway speed haha.

Stopped looking at 155 in my brothers Porsche 944 turbo S2. Figured if we crashed then I wouldn't really feel it anyway. Not in this country btw. The Porsche and brother have never set foot on US soil. German Autobahns FTW.
Wow, Right off the bat I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of flack for posting this!
Then again I didn't start the post.
The fastest I have ever been going while driving is 122MPH in of all things a 18 wheeler.1998 Kenworth W-900 525hp/13speed/2,850 lbs torque.
Picture this, It was about 3AM I was traveling North on HWY 95 in Nevada (SE of Reno NV)after unloading I was returning to Battle Mountain NV to get reloaded. I had not passed another car/truck in about an hour and I was bored going 65mph.
Seeing no other headlights (you can see for miles) in front or behind me I stepped on it.
After the speedometer stopped working at 100mph everything just kinda went quite and it seemed like I was floating along,I stayed with it for about 4 miles then for some reason I thought I had better slow down,Sure enough about 2 miles later I topped a hill and seen what I first thought was huge fireflies,Hundreds of them.
Then In a flash I remembered THIS IS OPEN RANGE!!! (no fencing for livestock) THANK GOD, I was already slowed back down to 65mph. Other wise it was hamburgers for everyone.
Oddly enough this cured my lust for 100mph driving for quite a while.
When someone else was driving I went a little over 120mph in a 74 Pontiac Firebird.
I have driven 102mph on a 1997 Yamaha Banshee on a frozen lake with studded tires. lmao

I've done about 125 mph in the '65 and that was while racing a Prelude (yeah, yeah, really stupid, which is why I won't say the type of road it was on), pretty sketchy, but done A LOT scarier things. Fastest I've gone was 135 mph in my uncle's '07 GT500, then we started running out of room.

One day....
