Default engine transplant

i need some 2 oppinions here guys. My 69 Mustang has a great engine. Runs sweet and sounds awesome, however the body has gone to heck and back at least twice. The floor is rotting, or rotted in some places, out. The rear passenger suspension has gone though the trunk floor. And more than half of the car is either plaster/fiberglass or simply rusted away. I bet if I take a while, i can get this car into decent condition but I dont have the equi[ment and knowledge to install new floors, fenders, quarter panels, and some serious wiring with the electronics on the interior. I got the idea though to find another 69 pony like mine with a good body but no engine, or something like it, and to simply take my working engine and move it to the other Mustang. Anybody here think this is a bad idea or any comments they want to add?

If you don't have a cutting torch, welder, plasma cutter, etc. and know how to use them, then you either need to get them and learn how to use them, or you are SOL with rebuilding that body. And, not only would it be expensive to get the equipment and learn how to use them, but the body parts are not cheap. But, it isn't an impossibility if you have the desire to learn how, and spend the big bucks. Your idea of getting another body that is in good shape but without running gear is a good one, but they are few and far between.

ya, i know it wont be easy getting a new body but i looked over my pony and there is just so much work ot be done. I literally meant that the entire body was rusted and needed replacing along with the floors and suspension.

Click here on the .zip to see what i mean.

Now, these pics are only ideas of the rust. Now, i need your serious oppinion. Should I fix this baby?

Billy, you have some serious rust problems. Yes, there are replacement parts, but in my humble opinion it will not be worth the money and effort. You don't have the equipment, knowlege and skillis to bring that rusted out Mustang back to life. Sorry.
