Default wireing, instument lights

I have a 1967 289 the instrument lights do not work. So i replaced all the light bulbs and they still don't. I couldn't find any broken fuses. Can any one give me any tips? Where is the instrument panel fuse in case i wasn't looking at the right one but i think i was. And am i correct that the pull switch that turns the head lights on should also control instrument lights? does anyone know how i can fix them?

Yes, the light switch controls the dash lights. Turn the switch clockwise. It's a dimmer switch that controls those lights. So pull the switch out, then turn the ****. They should come on, if they dont and it's not a fuse, the switch may be bad.

but the switch works to turn on the head lights. Is there anyway to check to see if the switch is bad before i buy a new one?

Did you try and turn the ****? I dont think you can check, just pull the **** out and wiggle it around while turning it. If you see the lights flickering on and off you know it's the switch.

well, i dont want to tell yo the wrong answer but unless it's been butchered then it shouldn't be the wiring. Did you say all the fuses are good? Did you check the DOME fuse?

It's a smaller fuse on the fuse panel. Let me go look at mine and see if it controls the lights.

im sorry, the dome light controls the under dash lights and such. The instrument panel fuse probably controls the lights. Have you checked all the fuses?
