Default rustolium colors

Hello everyone. I have a 66 mustang with the original paint, which is actually in decent condition. However the hood is pretty worn away. I know that there is the painting with the rollers and thats what I plan on doing. The only prblem is, my car'color is Antique Bronze" and rustolium doesn't come in metalic colors... or at least I don't think it does. Anyways my question is would another kind of paint work? If so what kind? Thanks!

im pretty sure if you wanted a metallic paint job you'd need to spray it on.

Please don't do it.

Why can't you just bring the hood to a professional and have them paint it with the factory color to match the rest of the car?

Unless you sell the car to an idiot, you'll regret ever having gone with the roll-on paint method.

Says who? I've seen pics of 69chargeryee-haw's 2 beetles and charger. they look pretty fantastic to me. I'll let ya know in a week or two how good it is from my experience, my brother and i are repainting his 97 f250 (talk about a lot of paint).

From what I have heard, they say you cant roll on metallic colors, you can look on their (rustoleum.com)website there are lots of colors but i dont know if you will find one that matches. I would say either repaint the whole car or have somebody that can mix paint get you some and spray your hood. jut my 2cents.

If you want to roll some paint, I have a a room that needs painting, i'll pay you to do the job so you wont roll your hood. Fair?

I am an old sign painter.
This is nothing new Rustolum is close to One shot or Ronan sign paints.
The enamel will roll out like glass if you KNOW how to float it out with a FOAM roller.

Try spraying it thru a gun cut 50/50 with mineral spirits and see how it looks.
Faster results with out days worth or wet sanding to remove roller marks.
Like anything else it takes practice and patience .
If you have more time than money Ive been there.
