Default '65 Coupe Ventilation System

Took the dash apart this weekend and discovered that the ventilation hoses from the heater went nowhere in particular. Anyone know of a resource that can show in detail how this thing is supposed to be put together and the various parts associated with it? I don't know if I am missing anything, as it is a mess.

Thanks.

The two hose drop down from defrost vent/single front speaker vent to the heater plenum assembly. Factory is card board. I would go ahead
and replace it also. check these two out.

Unit looks OK in the car, but might replace. Believe the defrost vents under the dash pad grille are missing. Piece of work...

Now here is a stupid question: is the heater and defroster on when the handles on the control unit are pulled up or down? Same with the temperature...

if your talking about the defroster hoses that come from your plenum(sp) they go up in the wholes oneithersides of your speaker in the center of the dash

No prob, Time.

Hey, you ever heard of a "rear breather hose?" My former mechanic said my Coupe is missing one and needs to be replaced. Others on the forum has wondered if I am talking about the CPV. If that sucker is gone, could that account for exhaust I am getting inside the cab?

Forgive my naivete, but I am pretty new to this whole rebuild stuff...

Thanks.

You confuse the world when you ask a second unrelated question in the same post. Next time Please use a new post.

(and its a PCV system (one from the rocker coverto the aircleaner, & hose from the crb to the PCV valve on the other valve cover.)

My profound apologies...on the post within a post...

Engine wouldn't run without the PCV, would it?

If the vacuum port on the carb is blocked off, yes, the engine will still run. If the vacuum port on the carb is not blocked off, it may run, but probably not very well.

As I stated in your last thread, check your exhaust system for any leaks. Check your floor pan and trunk pans for any holes/rot.
