5 luggers are for a couple reason's,,,rims,,,disc brakes and droping a 289 into a 6 popper which I have ...and needing the extra stoping power to comp for the weight and power,,, is a 289 is in the future remember extra power means extra weight,, ( beef up suspension all the way a round) ... stopping power ( brakes ),,, and of course tranny and rear end considerations,,, also remember ..it's your car/wallet/tastes

I am talking to a guy in my car club about getting Fox body spindles and calipers. He is parting out a fox vert, and I am going to hopefully buy the spindles.

Could I use fox body spindles on my 67 with no trouble? I might have to mod them if not.

No the fox body spindles will not work they are strut on spindle there's no upper control arm.Your kinda stuck buying a brake kit or going 5 lug maybe find some adaptors that let you go 5 to 4 lug.Only two ways i know to use a fox body spindle is http://www.ajeracing.com/64-70Mustang.php or http://www.fatmanfab.com/catalogpage.php?page=29
