Default T10 4spd Tranny question

So I saw a member on here post he had a T10 and after discussion with me he gave me his honest opinion. I'm about to complete my 351W set up and I'm guessing maybe around 300 hp to the wheels. He said with this set up it might be too much for the tranny. I was wondering if anyone has anymore insight on this, as after reading a little about the trannys, the information seemed to be valid. My biggest question is, is there anyway I can beef up this tranny to take the torque of a 351 as they were mostly used on 289s? And if so what would I need to do? Thanks for any input.

I have a t-10 behind a very strong 302. I have never damaged the transmission. The one thing I need to do is they have a modified 2nd gear slider for them that solves the t-10's habbit of kicking out of 2nd under deceleration.

Thanks for the info 67. Any guess at power out of the 302?

At the flywheel about 350hp I would guess. It is in my 69 Ford F100 with an 11" flywheel and posi rear. Ihad a buddy with a 429 in an F150 and he was impressed enough with the launch and 0-60 that he swapped to a small block.
