Default Drilled Drums

Has annyone had their brake drums drilled? I've read that it improves performance by letting the gasses and brake dust escape. Would this be a good substitute for discs or would it be better to just buy disc's?

I wouldn't even bother, put the mony towards disc brakes. People are still up in the air if drilled rotors offer any improvement over stock.

+1
the fact that discs brakes squeeze the rotor at a much more efficent rate rather than drums. I dont think holes would really help drums out much. it would probably do what some discs do, crack and ruin it.
