The best color for your engine would be black, or you might try silver? try looking at Autopartswarehouse.com my friend who has a car shop just recommend me that. Hope it will help you.

I hope they aren't all still on the ground:P I've been driving the car now off and on. But in the picture those are the valve cover bolt's and other misc bolts off the car.

I paint all my engines the same color. Actually its 65-70 Pontiac metallic blue.

The valve covers are on it to keep the dust out, probably going with black wrinkle covers later.

You cant powder coat an engine block. Well you could however it wouldn't last too long. Powder coating holds in and retains the heat! Nice on a show car only but if its driven it'll just overheat and

I was talking to the shop who will be doing all my powder coating last month about this very thing and he explained why it wouldn't be a good thing to do.

To the OP.. whats the car and engine bay colors? Ours will be dark moss green exterior, black engine bay with black, chrome & stainless steel accessories. We however want the block itself to standout a bit so looking for a deep/dark yet bright purple. Not an easy color to find in a high temp engine paint.
