Quirks

Hah, nah, just projects that need funding.
Hah and I know this is a lame question, but I'm too embarrased to post a whole topic about it, so I'm hoping somebody jsut stumbles upon this... how do you get the inside panel of the door off on a '68? I assume you take off the armrest, and window crank... which I know how to do, but how much more is there to it? is there more to it?

Sounds like you guys have projects that need attention.

The inside door panels of my 67 and 68 have a series of mettle clips that hold the fiberboard backing of the door panel to the metal door. These clips mount to the fiberboard through holes in the board and attach to the door through holes in the door.
After all of the screws for the items that you have mentioned have been removed, these clips must be popped out of the door one by one. Great care must be taken when popping these clips because the fiberboard that the clips attach to breaks very easily. I usually take a long screwdriver and stick it between the door and door panel to find these clips. I them try to use the screwdriver to apply pressure at the base of the clip to separate the clip from the door. I work my way around the perimeter of the panel popping the clips one by one.
I am assuming that most of the screws that you find holing these trim panes to the door have been installed after the fiberboard clip mounts have been broken, but I could be wrong.
Good Luck.
As Karl pointed out, that cardboard backing is brittle from age. So, take it easy when popping them out. Only use enough pressure with the screwdriver to pop them out. When you put it back on, just use the heel of your hand to pop them back in.
quirks are in my car too, im missing a blinker light (that will fun to fix), my door lights don't work at all, i get shorts, my car backfires when i startup too fast, my passenger window slot has a piece of metal thats bent into the window so my window is bad, my windows don't even roll up or down all the way, my windshield leaks water when it rains hard, somehow water builds up and gets in my tank, my horn doesnt work very well, i think my electrical is really messed up in my car, don't have a glove box light, i have to refill my oil about every 2-3 weeks, lots more stuff with my car
Besides all those annoying rattles you can never find, I hate the fact that my sun visor rods dont stay in place. Hit the brakes too hard, and one jumps out of the bracket and knocks on the rearview mirror, throwing it out of position.
Funny you should mention that TBI......I was sitting on my back deck looking at the fish in the pond, and decided to look through all the Mustang parts catalogs I have collected. First up was Mustangs Unlimited. Dang, they have a lot of stuff. Then, I came across California Mustang.....they have a lot of stuff, but not like Unlimited. Then, there was this CD disk from NPD. Being the curious one, I downloaded it onto my puter. Dang, man......If you need it, they have it......right online. But, alas, being a true Texan, I generally rely on Texas Mustang or Dallas Mustang. They ain't got everything, but they are close.
I have a quirk or two. My 66 only starts up for me fine, but doesn't when my dad trys to move it. MY canceling cam for the blinkers just broke, so my right turn signal doesn't cut off while making a turn. but aside from the rattles my stereo causes then there's nothing else wrong with the car............ except the blatty exhaust system.
