But really, what I meant was that a good body man is in enough demand that if he is unemployed it is probably more or less a "choice".... (Barring illness or injury!)


I can say for sure that I am not interested in "side jobs" that have anything to do with what I do all week....

So, don't ask me to help you move....

 

Im gonna go try and pick the car up on mon. Hopefully i can get it started. Anybody near Bellflower? At least I can pull my motor and get it ready for the motor swap while i save up more money for paint and body.

 

lol just poking back JMD I didnt think that was a blanket coverage to anyone who can use a spray gun. I like to give my uncles a hard time over their jobs. I always ask them is there a scientific link between sawdust and alcoholism.

But you are right I dont do graphics on the side for anyone except very close friends that will return the favor. By the weeks end I dont want to talk about colors layouts or even look at a logo.

 

I am a body/frame/painter for forty hours a week and drive a tow truck for another 35 hours a week and I will NEVER pass up a chance to make cash on the side. Some people have a hard time with actually telling when they can get to it. I had a guy wait a year for me to paint his car. I told him up front I couldnt get to it for at least 9mos-1yr and he chose to wait instead of finding someone else. Too many people just want to get the job in and they dont have time to actually start on it in a timely fashion. Side work helps finance my projects, family vacations or things I want to do and cant justify spending money on otherwise. Bills will never go away and I can only leave one diaper on my daughter for a couple days at a time LOL! Always use someone that comes recommended from someone who has actually dealt with them. That is my best advice. Sorry for the rant..............
