Help needed re-installing 289 in a '65. Troubleshooting question

Actually... it might. On my car, both the mount and the crossmember have slotted hole which allow for roughly an inch of combined movement, so it is possible that the crossmember could be bolted in with the engine too far forward.

We swapped the motor mounts out last night, and we're in business. Now that we've got that little issue resolved, its coming together now. Might even get to start it up tonight.
