port matching

Do i need to have my air gap port matched to the afr 185's?

It's not necessary for street performance, and you prolly wouldn't notice a difference either way. That said, the RPM Air Gap port is going to be a fair bit smaller than the 185 port on the head. A mild port match would be beneficial but make sure the intake manifold port remains slightly smaller than the head port to help prevent induction tract reversion.

probably no need to worry if its only going to be about a 450hp motor?

I would port match to get it close, doesn't need to be perfect, but close.
