I have recently imported a 68 coupe. Recently,, as in yesterday. I love, love , LOVE it!!! But the climate here is horrible. Rain, rain and just when you thought it was over, MORE rain. My problem is... I bought a car cover. It is a breathable, water resistant cover. However the water gets through. I know the reason is to discourage mould growth on the vehicle. What i want to know is, would it work to stick a waterproof cover on it and then place the breathable cover over that?? I just hate the thought of my pride and joy getting soaked in rainwater. I have to keep it outdoors, have nowhere else to park it. i don't want the car getting mouldy but I don't like it getting soaked either. Need to know if you have experienced a car rusting to bits beneath a standard resistant breathable cover or do they do the job???
