export brace install

Default export brace install

hi would like to know when installing a export brace on a 65 coupe do i take off the stock braces or leave them on thanks

Most people take them off and cut the spot welds off.

I took mine off and cut off the welded piece. I have seen them with the welded piece left on. That looks unfinished to me.

i have the unfinished version. Doesn't bother me really.
Yes they do have to come off. you unscrew them at firewall and near shock towers.
that will leave a stump on each shock tower. Depending on how you feel on it remove those (cutting) or leave em on. I was lazy and they don't bother me. But fully agree that it will look nicer with the stumps cut off.
