Default 351Cleveland?? 390?

Haven't been on in a while.

May have found a 351C for my 67 coupe.

But the guy didn't give me all the numbers, yet anyway.

Here is what I do have:

He gave me this number, didn't say where it came from on the engine
# DOE9C485-AH

He said this number came off the intake
OC20

And that these were on the block
B100 & DOAA

I have tried searching the internet but have come up empty handed.
I don't know if he is Legit, So please help me out, either with links or if you know anything about these numbers.

It is said to be a 1970 351C 2V out of a Mustang.

Thanks.

A DOAE block is from 1970. To tell if it's a 2v or a 4v look on the lower corner of either head for a number 2 or 4.

ok thanks..but what about the other numbers?
Do they mean anything.
I am assuming when he typed the "DOE..." he just missed the "A".
I really need help with the other numbers he has given, I have asked him to look for more. (I have not seen it in person, yet) I only have about a day to decide if I want it, other people are interested. Thanks.

The other numbers are probably just casting numbers. On a 2v cleveland there was only 1 manifold from Ford. The only casting number that really matters on the block is DOE9C485-AH. Other than that what info are you searching for?

Well ok, now you pretty much answered my question.
I just wasn't sure if the other numbers meant anything/if they were important.
I just wanted to make sure that it is what he said it is.
Do you know what the rest of the numbers in D0e9c485-AH stand for?
Anything?
Thanks a lot.

Also, do you think it is a good buy?
The engine turns over but the guy doesn't know if it will actually start, but it is only 70 bucks..

You didn't list a price so I don't know if it's a good buy or not but 2v clevelands are relatively common. The other numbers do have a meaning most likely actual production date, what foundry, etc....but in the bigger picture nothing to effect the value or identity of the engine.
Why do you want a cleveland for your '67? Even though I have a clevo in my car if I was building a '67 I'd get a 347 stroker and call it a day.

You can't go wrong for 70 bucks, you can always part it out and recover your money.

Missed the $70 part; obviously. Yeah, buy it, part it out, and use the money to get a 347.

I did not think they had a 2v 351c in 1970. I know they had 4v (I've got one) but I thought the 2v came out in mustangs in 1971.
