Alternator for stereo system
Im about to oput 2 8in kicker cvr8 subs in the trunk with its own amp to power it. Also im installing 2 Boston acoustic 6x9 speakers in the rear deck and a Boston acoustic 6.5 inch componet speakers set in the kick panals and a amp to power them. Im going to be puting a distrubution block to power the amps and a capacitor for the amp that is powering the subs. The amp powering the subs is a Kenwood KAC-7203 amp and the one powering the speakers is a Kicker zx350.4 four channal amp. Also im upgrade my headlights with these summit Zoops Zooplight Headlights. Im alittle worried that my alternator and batter wont be able to handle it. What amp alternator and battary do i need to get to make sure everything works fine? Any help would be great.
My mustang is a 1965 mustang with a 302 4 barrel, big cam, and t5 transmission.

A 130 one wire (or so) should do a fine job. When you search for alternators, look at their output at the given RPM. This will vary and your stereo could easily require more amps than the alternator can supply (especially at idle). In any case the use of a GOOD battery will ease the sudden demands on the alternator and act somewhat like a cushion as long as the proper wire size and distance is used. POWER (watts) / VOLTS= AMPs.
