408C Coolant in oil
hey everybody,
I've got some issues with my new 408 Cleveland... I'm getting some coolant in my oil. It seems like it only happened the one time as I cannot get it to leak again... I've tried everything to get it to do it again. I've tested it overnight with 16 psi and and it holds all night no problem... And i've also tested it hot with the same psi.. THe block is cemented half way up the water jackets as the last block I had let go.. The engine made 580 hp on the dyno and has CHI 225 heads on it. I'm also running ethelyne glycol for coolant.. I'm stumped with this and I would really like to figure out what caused this and if it can be remedied.. Oh I also I checked the coolant for oil and could not find any trace. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If its holding and you arent getting water in it anymore, dont worry about it. Pull your spark plugs and see if one is wet or extremely clean, but if you arent losing coolant, and you arent getting a milkshake of oil and water, just keep an eye on it.
Did the head gaskets you used require a retorque? Sometimes things move around a bit, but then seal up later, especially with aluminum heads. Ah and the other thing, the front plate could have seeped a bit into the pan, the plate behind the water pump. Other than those two spots, water doesnt get a chance to reach oil unless there is a hole in the iron.
