Default musty seats

The fastback I recently bought had been sitting outside for nearly 5 years untouched, and I don't know how many of them with the window 1/8 of the way down. Anyway the seats are real musty and smell slightly moldy, I checked them out and there's no mold penetrating into the foam just light surface stuff. What's the best way to clean and de-stink the interior? I think the seats are salvageable and i don't really have the money to replace the whole interior. Anybody have good luck with anything particular?

you could try a mild tub/tile cleaner, but after you get them all cleaned up and use them for 1-2 weeks, they're gonna start ripping (they're 40some years old...they just do!!). so spend the $100 and get new seat covers and you'll be much happier

A 1:10 solution of bleach and water should kill any mold on them. I don't know what that will do for the smell once it dries, but perhaps some fabreeze?

I just had some seats redone that smelled musty. The guy who did them had them steam cleaned (the cushions). The smell just fine now.

water, shampoo and wet vac? If you can remove the seats, let them dry outside in the sun.

I never even thought of getting seats steam cleaned! Ill try the all the normal stuff everyone suggested but if it they still don't smell right they're definitely going off to the steam cleaner.
