Does someone have a DuPont code they use when painting the interior color "Bright Red" for a 1965 Mustang? I am having my interior repainted and the painter is having a hard time finding a code. Any suggestions?

 

hmm whats the paint code on the car? i know rangoon red is "J" and it was easy as pie to find it in PPG books.

Does DuPont not have a "old cars" guide for the paint codes?

the link is to the picture posted. thats PPG paint codes & names for a 1965 mustang. i think there should be a 2nd page but im not finding it yet

**if you copy & paste the link you can change the year to anything between 1964-1973 and get the paint sheet. but i still think there should be another page as they all say "over"

theres another sheet, i think you want "poppy red" not "bright red" as there is no bright red listing. ford paint # would be "3" the PPG code would be "60449" they should have no problem crossing a PPG # to a DuPont #

 

Bright Red is the correct color and the only Red color that a 64 1/2 or 65 came in. All the others are exterior colors. Another person told me about the following
