Power Steering Woes
Hey all,
So I have a 1970 Fastback 302, and when I purchased it, the power steering components had been taken out; all that was left is the 16:1 steering box, which makes low speed steering an olympic event. I've added a roller idler arm, but it doesn't help much. At this point, I'm resigned to going back to power steering, but I'd like to find an affordable way of doing so. Does anybody happen to know what my best option is for getting a good deal on a power steering kit, and what parts I need to get? Are there any non-stock PS kits that are affordable that I could find or order, or do I need to go stock? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

are all the rest the steering parts in good shape?
how bout the steering gear box is it in good shape does it have a lot of play in? how far do you have to move the steering wheel left or right before you can see the front wheels just start to move?
I have no PS on my 66 its no big deal but that is also a bit lighter of a car i think so that may have something to do with it.
Rebuilding a worn out steering box make make steering effort less after it breaks in.
