Default Question on Lockset

My 69 will be in my garage when I get it out of the shop but I wanted to know if anyone knew where I could get a single key lockset for it?

(ignition, doors and trunk)

Currently no locks on it. I just don't like to think of drving it anywhere and leaving it unlocked.

Anyone know where I can buy a set?

Found some on CJPonyparts for 44.95. Think I might order from there on Friday for the 15%off.

Thanks for your help.

They never used just a single key, it was one for the ignition and doors and a different one (differently oriented) for the trunk. Mine are even stamped 1 and 2 just under the heads.

Oh I know. There are just a few companies that are making a single key set for the early model mustangs. So you can have one key to fit the ignition, doors and trunk.

Now where's the fun in that? These old cars have quirks.

Never heard of a set with the trunk and glove box being different.

Seen them with the doors and trunk different from the ignition.

Ignition/doors are different from trunk so driver (other than owner) doesn't have access to trunk/glove box. Other driver in today's world is not chauffeur, but valet.

I use a hidden trunk release instead of a conventional lock for my trunk. I never have to look for or fiddle with a key. My unlocked glove box has a Jack-in-the-Box attennna ball, and old Dodger stadium parking pass, and half a pen. They can have that.

$45 for the kit. comes with a set of keys + 2 door lock cylinders, ignition cylinder & trunk.

If you wanted the glove box to be the same im not sure how youd go about doing that one.

**oh and i got all of you beat, i have 1 key for ignition, 1 key for doors and 1 key for trunk/glove box HAHA

Great grandpa had to replace the ignition or doors back in the 70s. id have to look through his receipts & service papers to remember which one

I forgot completely about the glove box having a keyed lock to it...been awhile since I've had an older car.

Thanks for the info everyone.

I had forgot about the glove box too, but then I don't have the locking glovebox. I do have the original set of keys to the car though, on the same keychain my mom had them on while she drove the car in high school.
