Got a lot of good feedback. Thanks! Guess it really boils down to what I want to do to make my ride enjoyable and safe. Think I'll keep the six in her. Maybe tweek her a little.

When I bought my car the letters were not on the car. I was able to find the original holes by looking very closely for the indentations from where it was filled in. Have you looked real close from all angles for holes? It wasn't easy but once I found a hole, I just poked through the paint with an awl. Then I had to tap out what was left of the old ground down barrels and put in new ones.
While we are on this topic I though Id ask a question. The letter A on the back of my 69 is a little loose, it can be pulled out little ways before something stops it from coming off completely. I think mine are orginal. I was wondering how these letters are held in place and how I can fix my loose letter A.
My letters (replacements, the originals just weren't shiny enough) were put into the factory holes. They aren't perfectly lined up from the factory either. I'd have to go look but offhand I think my S is noticeably higher than the rest, I'll get a picture tomorrow.
+1 on the crooked letters!! My N looks like it is backwards or upside down.
I thought it was just my car....
