Default Fuel pressure regulator.

To help check the problem after I find out if I have stuck floats or debris in between my needle and seat, I want to put a fuel pressure regulator on, just to make sure I'm not forcing to much fuel into the engine. My question is what one to go with, not something expensive, was looking at autozone. Another question is what rate should I be running at for a 358W with mild cam and adjustable roller rockers as the only real mods?

what fuel pump are you using?

Replace needel springs first if you think its flooding do to excessive pressure.

finally I think your money would be better spent on a fuel pressure gauge. auto gauge makes a good 0-15lb one

Needle springs? You'll have to elaborate on that one more, I'm not good with carbs or fuel system. My fuel pump is a stock mechanical one, but I think it's too large for the engine.

Im not totally sure how your carb works (I dont even know what carb it is) but when you take it a part, if its anything like my carter, there will be some small springs that hold the inlet needle shut against its seat. The springs on my carter can hold back about 7psi.

Buy a Holley fuel pressure regulator which has a port to install a pressure gauge also.
Run a maximum of 6 psi and you should have no problems.
