That is a 66 or 67 Fairlane. The Galaxies of those same years looked just about identical except they were full sized

Quite possibly the sexiest mid-sized Ford ever made and one of very few cars I would consider trading the fastback for.

Those cars make me moist.

The image under my name is for some 428 logos I found at an antique store for a 67 big block galaxie. Met a guy at a show a while back who had the same logos but 390 for his 67 Galaxie. Nice car!

Whenever I see a 66-68 Galaxy, I see Jack Webb driving. That's the model they drove on Dragnet.

For you kids out there, Dragnet was a TV show in black and white where 2 LA cops could park anywhere they wanted in their cherry black Galaxy.

For you kids out there, black and white was the TV transmission, not the casting.

Hey, that's not funny. I watched Dragnet on B&W TV myself and I am not old. BTW, I remember hot pants, zip guns, and beach bonfires complete with sing alongs. I really miss hotpants.

I went to a local car show about a month ago and saw a 1950 something Ford Skyliner with the retractable hard top.

That thing was huge, I have seen ships that were smaller. I am positive it would not have fit in my garage.....

The Skyliner was as long as a Caddy. 57-58 they had the retract HT with that ridiculous mile long deck lid. There's a few of them still bouncing around for sale.

Mustangs are great because they're EZ to park; it's not a big car. I have to parallel park all the time, and it's pretty much always a snap. Parking my Honda SUV is so bad sometimes tug boats pull up asking if I need help.

MrBobMarley, That last pic you posted is either a '66 or '67 Fairlane.
Ahhh right you are. I didnt notice, thanks for nothing google images I did some digging and you guys were right, the 67 XL fastback was the car that I saw. Man I wish I could have snapped a pic at the time.

Looks like they made 4 doors after all. I'm pretty sure now what I saw was the sleek looking 2 door though. Both pics below are 67's btw.

This is pretty close to it, but it was almost the same green as my mustang.

I hear you on that! I had no idea the mid and full size fords looked so cool. I'm really liking the fairlanes right now, would be really sweet to pick one up one day.

Good luck with that. Those mid-60s Fairlanes are scarce as hens teeth.
