I have a 1986 200ci I6 mustang with a 3 speed auto transmission. I was wondering if anyone knows what the stock rear gear ratio was on this car.

I know it should have a differential tag, but it must have fallen off at some time.

 

Do you still have your warranty plate on your driver's door? If so, post the codes and someone should be able to decode it.

 

Nevermind, I actually just found it out, I was looking through my paperwork to find the vin/factory info and I found the window sticker the rear gear ratio was listed. so i'm happy now, It was a 2.83:1.

 

Not sure if I'd be happy about that...hehe. But good job, nonetheless

 

It was kind of disappointing, but it gave me another excuse for why the thing is so slow.
