How do you remove the pony emblems on the front fenders of a 67.

I'm pretty sure based on the gromets that are on them you just pull them straight off. You might want to look in your fender well and look at those fastners. But there should be 4 posts on the emblem that go through the fender, and it should just pull off.

They should have twist on nuts that bite into the post.

pull and be careful.....then you'll have to remove the grommets too. you'll have about 18 holes in each side of your car if you take the "m-u-s-t-a-n-g" out too. 4 holes for the pony

A small flathead screwdriver and a rag. Put the rag on the fender and pry aound the stud on the emblem. Good luck!

what we did on my 68 was just got a putty knife put some tape around the end of it so as to avoid scratching the paint then slowly pry the emblem off by wedging a flat head between the putty knife and the emblem,

the horse has 4 posts and each letter of your "mustang lettering should have 2 posts. dont worry about breaking those little plastic sleeves pulling the emblem off, they are designed for one time use, which is why they put new ones in with the new emblem

just a word of caution, the scott drake emblems i ordered to replace my 289 running horse emblem on my fenders did not line up with the original holes...3 holes did but the fourth was not right, so u will have to drill a 4th hole for the horse. shouldnt have any problems with the lettering, my new trunk letters fit perfectly. oh and one more thing, the scott drake running horse emblem does not come pre-bent to contour to the natural curve of the fender so you will have to bend it a little if you want ur emblem to sit flush. should also consider that when drilling ur fourth hole.

I'm not putting the horses back on once I take them off. I'm putting different emblems on.
