Easy, my drive tran killed this car. It has more motor, and alot of potential but slowed down so much by that transmission and even the rear. I didn't even realize it prior to this. I ran mid 15's. Had trouble at the line since I wasn't launching it and then little traction issue. But 15.4's were the average time. I need to get my 9" installed and a new tranny. Anyone got one for sale? 4spd or better for a manual. Or auto?

been down that road many years ago when i was 16 42 now.thought my car would run 12s lol 16.50 1st time down the track clocks really suck sometimes.what was your MPH @end you could tell more by that than your ET since you were on street tires?like i said before theres probably a 1 to a 1.5 sec to be gained from were you are bepending on your motor HP
good luck

Here is my slips. Start times were slow because I wasn't trying to break anything. I was seeing green before I left, not go on third yellow.
First Run:
Reaction- .9060
60- 2.4620
300- ? not reading on left side
1/8 ET- 9.9290
1/8MPH-73.38
1/4 ET- 15.4769
1/4 MPH- 86.74

Reaction- .9998
60- 2.4720
330- 6.5470
1/8 ET- 9.8741
1/8 MPH- 74.25
1/4 ET- 15.4199
1/4 MPH- 81.54

Reaction- 1.0609
60- 2.8400
330- 7.1221
1/8 ET- 10.6931
1/8 MPH- 71.07
1/4 ET- 16.7761
1/4 MPH- 69.02

Reaction- .8109
60- 2.3760
330- 6.5051
1/8 ET- 9.9071
1/8 MPH- 72.80
1/4 ET- 15.4821
1/4 MPH- 87.87

Let me know what you guys think, I'm thinking there is alot being lost in the drive tran.

i think you need to work on your reaction times
although your 60 ft's didnt look TOO bad for the first ime down the track in the car

Like I said, I wasn't looking to break anything. I was waiting to see green then got into it. I've raced many times before, been over a year, but you launch on last yellow. ONLY, I wasn't launching this car. From idle to go, as if I were at a normal red light.

seems about right.Everybody that i knew that took their car out the first time thought it was a easy 13 second pass and almost all of them were in the 15's.

Well, theres only one way to go from here

My setup is almost exact to a guy that I saw run... only he had a 9 inch... and believe 4spd and ran high 12's. Don't think it will dip that low though with just tranny and rear though.

http://www.race-cars.net/calculators/et_calculator.html
as of right now ^^^^^^^^^^^that shows if your car is #3000 160 hp to the ground
and the mph matches the ET.and your reaction times really dont affect your ET deep stagein or shallow stagein could make a little differnce
