Default ford 9'' dissasembly

i need to send my housing off to be shortened. Is the dissasembly and re-assembly fairly easy? obviously i save money iff i do it myself. Or should I just have currie do it?

Not too much to it. Also you will have to have shorter axles. Have them send new washers and nuts if they do the work.

yes they are going to shorten the axles and respline if needed. washers and nuts for the housing? Whats the best way to drain the oil? through the bleeder? or just spill it all out when i open the housing up? also they will powder coat the rear for 100$ worth it or just rattle can it?

I would remove the rear as a unit and take it outside, and then open it up. It will make a mess (and stink) but better out of the garage than in. I like to use catylized paint, like acrylic enamel (with a hardner) for the finish. The powder coat is nice and will last, but expensive. A small round wire brush on a drill to clean the threads works great, this needs to be done before you take the nuts off. You may be able to reuse them if the threads are cleaned, and they come off easy, but the washers will need to be replaced.
