Pony Carb 1100 Vaporizer
Hi, I have a 65 Mustang, Straight Six. I have on order the Pony Carb Autolite 1100 Vaporizer. I have been waiting nearly three months for it to be shipped. Well, with the bad economy and everything, I'm really having second thoughts on shelling out $400 for this carb. I've searched past posts and it seems that comments from users of this carb are limited. Can anyone convince me that I should go ahead and purchase this carb, considering how tight money is? thanks Basically, is the increased performance worth it. My existing carb works good. I'm just wanting a bit better performance.

if your current carb is working good I'd rather spend my money on other parts.
I don't know anything about 6cyl performance options, but maybe as small changed as a better flowing K/N airfilter?
electronic ignition (pertronix) will help performance and gas mileage (the result greatly depends on how bad/good your current system is)
in short: if your current carb runs good I wouldn't spend money on a new one.

Trust me on this it is worth the $400 to get the rebiuld. I got mine done and it runs great. I've noticed improved throttle response, no flat spots in acceleration and a perfect idle. I would do it, it does take a while but these carbs are in high demand because they are so great. Good luck gettin it runnin right.
