Default Still having wiring problems!!!!

OK, ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE AND THEN, NOTHING WORKED RIGHT.BOTH TAIL LIGHTS STAY ON(OR BRAKE LIGHTS)NEITHER SIGNAL WORKS. I PULLED INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, BUT DIDNT SEE ANYTHING WRONG. BUT WITH MY METER I SEE A SHORT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BRAKE LIGHT WIRES,WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN THE TAIL LIGHTS STAYING ON. WHERE DO I NEED TO START?

1. stop SHOUTING ;-)
2. explain: METER I SEE A SHORT ON BOTH SIDES OF ... (how do you mean short)
3. check if it's the brakelights or not. means have someone check if it's getting brighter when you step on the brakes.
4. disconnect the brakelight switch and see if the problem disappears. (all back to normal but brakes are not working). If that's the case adjust/replace your brake light switch

Sorry ive been away from my pc. The meter im talking about is a volt meter, i can check volts or check for short. (wires on the frame or other wires) I was told the middle pin on the brake light was only for AC. But i also have a full ground also. But when you hook a battery up the lights come on and stay, i pushed on the brakes but they didint get any brighter and even unhooked the brake light swtich, but still the same thing thanks
