Default Machine Shop

All of you here have more experience with a machine shop than i do, honestly
I'm a little intimidated to even go inside the one near my house, its in a shady neighborhood in the back of a run down factory, and honestly i would be embarrassed to go in not knowing what the heck i was talking about. anyways i was wondering about how much the going rate for the following machine shop services are....

Remove Cam Bearings
Hot Tank Block
Hone Cylinders
Hone Lifter Bores
Install Cam Bearings
also do they supply the new bearings or do I bring them in for them to install, curious to know because they are included in the rebuild kit i am buying.

I know prices are different at every shop i juts want a rough idea of what i am looking at as far as getting my block prepped up.

thanks in advance

OR walk in and be like

"Hey. **** you. I'll give you $150 and 2 hours, or I'll kill your family. Do it."

That typically works well here in Detroit.

I'm sure they could supply/order them if needed.

Do people really get the lifter bores honed? o_0 I have never heard of that before.

YES the lifter bores should be honed. especially with oil nowadays. you better check every bore and make sure each lifter moves freely with NO hold ups or burrs.

if theres a sticky bore, take an old lifter, weld a bolt to the top, and just use it to push up and down in the bore until its smooth. it took my a few hours to do that to mine untill all of them were nice. i didnt want my cam or lifter going flat.

oh my
300?
i know it may sound cheap to you guys but, im 15 in high school with a job for 10 hrs a week, 300 is a hell of a lot,i have honed dirtbike cylinders before, and i assume its the same for lifter bores, and i have both a cylinder hone and lifter bore hone at work, confident i can do this my self... leaving removing and pulling cam bearings?
what tools will i need if i were to do this on my own?
its it practical to buy such a tool or it it better to have them done by a machine shop?

obv. i dont have a hot tank in my garage, is there an alternative to this process, or how much would hot tanking alone cost? (ballpark figure)
