Does a 1973 F250 engine fit a 1967 fastback?

anything is possible, as far as a direct bolt in i doubt it

but with modifications to the engine bay you could put mainly anything you want

look at fast and furious Tokyo drift they put in that ricer motor, and restored the car in less than a day LMAO

also welcome to the forums

A 390 will fit in your 67'. Depending on what originally came in your 67', probably a 289...you'll have to do a lot of upgrades on the suspension as well as getting a bigger radiator. If your mustang is an A or C code mustang then it most likely came with a real small radiator, that won't be enough to cool a 390.

The 390 block will fit, but the heads won't work without custom headers. Mustang 390's used different heads with a different exhaust bolt pattern to fit the exhaust manifolds into the engine bay. You'll either need Mustang heads, or a set of conversion headers.

Another fellow FE owner! Nice! Here is another forum that has tons of FE racers and old timers:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/74182/

Lots of pictures and a for sale section too.

Oh and yes the 390 will fit. Double verify its a 390 and not a 460. As I understand it, the 460 wont fit with out fabbing.
