Default How to test for compression ratio

Is there a way to calculate what compression ratio an engine has
by the reading on a compression guage?
The talk about supercharging renewed my interest in a mild SC or turbo on my 351C.
The previous owner had my engine rebuilt and I wasn't able to get any
paperwork on what was done other than "they though it was re-built to stock specs about 5k ago" (the short story: it was bought from an estate sale).
Not sure if they also did the "stock" 10.7:1 comp ratio.

No, the only way is to know the volume the piston displaces and the size of the combustion chamber.
