I agree with Adrenolin about the extra space between the shifter and the armrest. I want to put my brake handle in the center console when I switch to a standard transmission.
thanks, im getting tired of the tweed interior so i might make the top panels out of some aluminum plate with some type of bead rolled design

This is exactly what im doing with the custom console im making! Right now im at the point were i have my 2 sides created and fitted over the hump. I'm pretty stuck right now on how to connect them to not move. i dont wat to drill to the hump. how did you connect them together? I see some pics, but they look like theyre attaching the sides with peieces of wood and glued not screwed. Can you show me more pics on how you connected everything together?

thanks!

The cross peices are nailed using a air nailer and some Gorilla Glue. The whole console is sorta under the dash and pressure keeps if from moving and the rear is just the weight of it.

I made my console out of plywood and 1"*2" wood for support on the edges.

EFI If you started making those consoles I'd buy one.

I love what you did with yours, very clean and functional.
