If you want it flamed, you need to send it up here to MI to have my grandfather do it.

Nice car. I have a guy interested in trading my 66 for his 36 Ford 3 window coupe... I'm kicking it around.

The car will be very retro, dark blue, lots of chrome and stainless. With the exception of the March Pulley setup, not a STITCH of billit anything anywhere. The chassis is a TCI setup that I bought complete. (TCI has some nice Mustang stuff also!).

I have owned this car since 1978 when I was about 14. Over the next several years I learned a lot about cars working on this vehicle. About all I really did "right" was to sandblast the car inside and out. I did a lot of things wrong which I am dealing with now.....

I drove the car briefly about 10 years ago until I hydro-locked the engine, it has been parked ever since. I have completed lots of car builds/resto's/re-fresh, etc. of various build levels in the last 25 years or so, but it has taken some time to get back to this one in order to tackle some of the stuff I did as a totally unskilled teen and 20 something kid learning as I went....

Thanks to all you MF'ers, , the big block Chevy engine is being ditched in favor of a 408W..... and an "all Ford" drivetrain.

I have given myself a deadline of May 15, 2009 to complete the build, I intend to be 100% finished by this time.....

Thanks for sharing in my excitement, I am stoked about the build...

Since this is a Mustang site, I wont bug too much, but I will post every now and again with updates. I might even inspire a "Mustang idea" or two along the way....

And the car will get some flames..... So I will see you in MI Waffles.....

Great car. Love that bodystyle and can't wait to see progress pics.

Congrats on getting back to an old project with the experience to fix it up right.
