nice one and well done! Living in Ireland I know your pain about getting parts ...
From what I can see there's only yellow Mustangs in the Netherlands :-)
You lads (Paddy) live close together? gonna meet ?

Everyone thanks for the positive feedback ! Great to hear that some people like it on the other side of the world

@Kali: The netherlands isnt that big, cant live more than a two hour drive from each other

@cmanf You mean the black rubber on the carb hat wich connect the intake pipe ?

Dont know if it is possible to find one over there, its from an opel (GM) with a 2.0 16V engine (exact the right size) engine code is: C20XE

Kadett, vectra, calibra, astra had that engine (its the intake hose on the throtlebodie)

Last weekend i entered the first car show, car wasnt really finished yet but i want to drive it.

And... i won 20 finalist from 2 country's and i was the only one with a classic mustang.

Was fantastic the first car show and to take some prices with you, Rims and tyres, 800 dollar, Pioneer car audio system, meguairs polish kit etc..

And some magazines want to have the car on the cover

Some pictures

wow that car is coming out beautifully... how did you get such a nice fitting rear bumper? On my car and nearly every mustang I've seen it sticked out a couple centimeters on both sides. Did you chop the bumper and re-chrome it? or did you just luck out? haha

congrats on the car show win! those are some nice prizes too... not bad for your first show, with the car not even completely finished

Hello Dutch 65 I just found this thread today. I've really enjoyed going through it. Your Mustang is awesome!!!! The fit and finish a lot of us American boys will never match. Wheels, colors, and so many other things on a restored car are a matter of personal taste. The quality of your work can not be denied. My hat is off to you!!!!

Thanx for all the replies ! The car was alot of work but all of it was worth it, just some minor things need to be done and then its finally finished. Until we spot some new things rack and pinion, T5 swap etc...

@1965fastback: it runs great ! alot of torq in lower rpms and when you kickdown it just keep going ! Alot faster now !
