Default Going about it all wrong!

Im in need of brakes on my 69 mustang. I converted my front brakes to stock disc brakes. But i cant afford the booster to complete my convertion to power brakes. Now i havent changed the brake peddle or the push rod but I was going to put just a master cylinder on it for now. I know this will only make it to were i have to push twice as hard on the peddle to make it stop but im not going to the track or anything I just want to test it on my block. Anybody got anything to say about my choice. Or any suggestions. I was told to get a 76 granada master cylinder but the hole sizes were reversed so it wouldnt work unless i came up with some sort of custom bull****. Dont want to do that unless i have to.Any takers

I was skeptical about my decision to go with manual discs on my 67, but I actually think it works just fine. Of course it depends on the caliper/master cylinder combo, but the stock '67 4-piston KH calipers and stock m/c work just fine for me. Takes a little effort, but it's actually a little easier on the leg than my old manual drum setup. I had to stand on the pedal to get those things to stop.

Give it a shot, see how it works for you. If you don't like it, add a booster later.

I agree with Tad! I went from manual drum to manual discs in the front of my 67 F/B. I see no difference in the braking effort, but one helluva difference in the braking results!!! The discs are GREAT!!! I see no need for power disc brakes. I think if you set it up as manual discs, you'll be well satisfied. Just my .02.
