Na, one of the reasons I'm moving is to have a garage and cause my girl is moving in too.

I'm going to be looking for a house this summer, and I know it won't have a shop, so one of the first things I am going to do is build a shop. More of a pole barn actually, with a 10 foot wide door and about 24 feet deep X 40 feet wide. A man has to have a shop to put all his "stuff" in.

yes, you guys have it nice, poor lil young me only has a two car garagewith enough crap tow count for one car and the other car being my 69 Mustang which barely fits. Better than working on dirt but I'm trying to find a "somthing".

Believe me Billy, I paid my dues working underneath cars out in the grass, mud and dirt. Just this past summer, we were visiting my wife's folks, and the starter went out on my 65. I got another one at the parts store and while I was putting it in, it came a flood. Well, I don't stop projects while I am in the middle of them. So, I just gritted my teeth while I was getting soaked and tried to finish the job, but the starter didn't fit. Dripping wet, I took it back to the parts store and had them check the numbers again. Well, the book said it was the right starter for my 3 speed standard, but it didn't fit in the hole. So, I got one for a C4 car, and it fit perfectly. So, just a tip to all of you 65 owners. If your starter goes south, and you have a standard tranny, replace it with one designed for a C4.

I am in the same boat as you, BillyJoe: Two-car garage with three cars

If you’re going to build a garage, build one as large as you can afford and make it hurt. My last house had a 30 X 40 shop and it was great. But after a few years it started to get a little cramped. I think there is a natural law involved that says, “You will fill every nook and cranny availableâ€. Now my house has a 3 car garage and it is so cramped that it is hard to do anything in it, even after I got rid of every thing that that I could bear to part with. I have 1 year 7 months 14 days until I can sell this place and get me a new place that I can build me a new shop on. Can we say 60 X 60?

Here is a pic of our shop/garge build with Old Yeller and her sagging butt. This pic was taken two years ago, and the saggy butt has been rectified. My brother and I built this shop/barn.

Very nice, I wish I had someplace like that to park and work on my car.

well, as I can't get a beastly barn in my neghborhood, we might just pave a bit of the backyard behind the garage and put a tent over it. But for now, this little garage seems to work. I had to replace the fuel pump the other day in it and i didnt have the ability to jack it up or take the engine block out, or even remove the dang P/S but whatever works eh?
