What's been done to the engine? What specific cam/heads are you running? Tri-y's are great for stock motors or those running lower rpm's, but if you're winding it up to 6k a lot, you may want full length headers.

It is my first build, my 289 was blown and c4 stolen when I took it out, so I got a 1990 H.O short block that was rebuilt from faster 5.0, 30 over, cam stock ?, the heads are 195 pro comp alum. all new sealed in plastic all for $1,100 from a guy in Bloomington Indianawho totaled his Mustang after he bought the parts

Then I got Roller rocker, lifters and pushrods from Ford racing, then a rebuilt AOD, no cables yet, eddy intake and 600 carb used,

low cost, I spent all my budget on the body and interior, had to replace just about everything, a real rust bucket but soild now.
distibuter is a crane cam 1601 and hi 6.

Well, how much money do you have? I'd recommend either Doug Thorley or FPA tri-y's, but they're very, very expensive. You get what you pay for, though...
