Im gonna have to wait on buying my 347 short block so i was going to install my heads on my 5.0. The pistons have to be flycut. Will I have to completely disassemble the motor to have the releifs cut for the heads?
Also If im going to run a cam that calls for 1.7 roller rockers what happens if I run 1.6?

Can't answer the flycut question, but if you're running a cam designed for 1.7 rockers with 1.6's, you're going to get less lift, and therefore less power. If you have the cam specs, it's easy to figure out what your lift would be with the 1.6 rockers

It can be done with the shortblock assembled in the car. Not fun, but possible. Have to make a cut, measure it, and then set the depth if it's right. Then do it to all of them, and clean each cylinder.

i'cve never done such work, so i don't know. but I've heard a few times it was done already.
If you have an old head you can buy cutters that are inserted through the head like the valve and on the top end go into a drill
it must be very messy though and it looks like a guarantee to **** it up the first time ...
