Default Some progress

Picture in a little bit, but while i let some smoke settle (undercoat to be exact) ill just post what i did yesterday and today...

I finished the passenger side inner rocker,

got the passenger side floor pans set, this was extremely difficult compared to the drivers side, i think they stamp 4 or 5 pans at a time, and mine was on the bottom, but i finally got it pressed against each and everything the floor pan is suppose to touch. in the process of welding them in now, hence the undercoat smoke.

got some patches welded onto the tunnel, removing the seat riser i left some holes and gashes that needed deal with

and once this smoke settles and i weld the rest of the floor pan. i guess ill move on to cutting the quarters off for skins, i have done this many 'a times on modern cars, hopefully on a mustang its no different, if not im confident ill have some good looking quarter skins

pics later today, gotta get my dads camera......

Great work! I don't anticipate any problems with the mustang quarters.

Hey Joe, do you work at a body shop? I noticed you said you had chopped quarters on new cars many a time.

not exactly but body work is my profession for now.

you see, my dad owns and operates a car dealership and aprx 60% of our inventory is vehicles bought from insurance companies that were insured with a replacment gaurentee policy, so the cars are wrecked but not totaled. this is where i come in with the help of several other body men. several reasons for this, to make a long story short.... wrecked cars were running when they smashed into the car in front of them, dealer trade in are worn out rags that have intermittent problems that are hard to diagnose and repair. also cost of car+work required is less when its mostly body work and inspection, over almost equal cost+diagnosis+various repairs+inspection

hmmm yeah i guess , dont know if you view that as good or bad, but its neutral to me
the only reason salvage tittles are frowned upon is un-integral workman ship and misrepresentation at time of sale that does not and will not ever happen with my shop. we make sure the costumer knows the car has been wrecked, we even provide pictures of the car wrecked, shoot half the time they put a deposit on car before work has even begun.

oh btw the spent the night there working on the mustang (coffee coffee coffee) so i couldn't get to the camera picture this weekend, sooner if i can find a ride

yeah it can be fun, though the last time some one (my dad) spnt the night there to work on a car (camaro.........) someone threw a molitof into the biggest one of our shops and it happened to land right next to the shelf full of carb cleaner and other aerosols, he had to watch his entire buissiness (un insured) burn in front of him. i was actually kind of scared to stay there because stuff like that only happens when we are there
