Default Choosing a front coil spring

I just recieved my roller perches from Daze. Good looking item BTW.

I need to order from springs and shocks. So far i paln on ordering the KYB gas adjust shocks.

I am looking at different springs, I would like it to sit at least 1 inch lower also. I see the global west, gt springs, grab a tracks, and different rates from 480lbs to 750lbs.

My car will be driven about 4 days a week around town. i have 17 inch wheels with a low pro tire. I need recomendations for the springs.

I recommend going with 620 springs that are 1" shorter and KYB GR2s rather than the Gas Adjust. The GR2s are a little smoother and easier on the ride around town.

I'm assuming you're driving a 65-66.

How smooth of a ride do you want, and how concerned are you with performance? I just did the Shelby drop, installed 1" drop 560lb springs, and I have Edelbrock IAS shocks. I absolutely love the new setup. After letting the springs settle a bit, the car sits very nice. The front pretty much matches my 1" rear drop. As far as ride and handling go, the ride is smooth but firm, and the car handles fantastic. The 560lb springs with the roller perches are great for a performance driver. You can probably pull 620lb springs, but the ride would be very stiff with your lighter '66, even with the GR-2 shocks. It would handle great on smooth roads, but the front end might skip if you hit a bump in a corner, and your passengers might not appreciate the teeth jarring ride. Unless you have roads like glass where you live, I think you'd be happier with the 560lb 1" drop springs from OpenTracker.
