Reviving this from the dead I know-

But I wouldn't go to FPS again. Too many problems with service, contact etc. They did my motor and although it seems ok for now (still less than 100 miles on it) the service was horrible. Troy was very hard to get ahold of and it took about 30 days longer than I was told, so it put paint and everything else that far behind.

I have spoken to others in my circle of friends and they all said the same thing, they wouldn't go back. Hopefully the motor is better than their service.

1 example is the head gasket. I had fluid pouring out the head gasket when I went to break it in and they blamed me. Huh? I actually had it towed to a shop to have the exhaust built (after headers were already on) and was going to do the break in at the shop when this happened. Of course Troy was no where to be found, so Sam said to have the shop pull the head and they'd (FPS) pay for it. Sam said he'd have the head picked up and brought back to his shop and make sure it's ok. It was fine, so I bought a new head gasket and his co-worker came back and installed the head etc. SURPRISE, it didn't leak. Meanwhile, it' cost me $450 for the other shop to pull the top end off and here it is 1 month later and I haven't heard from anyone at FPS.

I've sent them e-mails, faxes and called to no avail. Next stop is small claims court when I get home from vaca.

That is just one example of a littany (sp?)of things that have been in a PIA!

So if you go, be prepared for horrible cust service, I won't be going back (unless it's to pick up $$).

Live and learn in the resto game!

Sounds about right.Too bad becasue Troy, as a person, is a good guy...............but i would never return there or recommend them ever again.Luckily im about 13 miles from them........but that didnt make all my trips there any better to have my engine torn apart 3 times in under 500 miles and spend enough for a turn key 408 instead.

Hope it works out for you.
