I like them both a lot, but if I had a choice I'd go for a '69 fastback.

Definatly the '69. Until recently, the only Mustang ever built with 4 head lights. The similarities to the '69 is what made me fall in love with the new ones.

 

Didn't one of the fox bodies have 4 lights too ? i love the 69 all but for the glued in glass.

I believe they had them from 1979-1986, but I could be wrong.

Apples and oranges, folks. Neither one is better, they are both great cars.

Best thing about 69 styling: Set-back head lights, seat belt receptacles and Winter Blue Metallic.

Best thing about 70 styling: Non set-back headlights, no ornamental chrome, and Grabber Orange

69, love the headlights and exterior styling, if it was for a coupe, a 70 since the lines on a 70 coupe look better than the lines on a 69 coupe IMO.

 

i've got 2 1970s - a Mach and and a Boss clone. But I like the 69 Mach style better - like the side scoops & headlights. But like the 1970 boss better than 69. The boss did not have the side scoop on either year and I like the 1970 hockey stripe better than the c stripe on the 69. When I bought the first one - was looking for a 69 when a clean 70 caught my eye. So like them both - my favorite years for sportsroof style.

 

Neither, but I definitely like the 69 SPORTROOF better than the 70, but since that must be what you meant I voted 69.
