I got an alignment tool from my grandfather so I can finally align my front end after doing the drop. How do I change my camber and caster?

How are you doing this? You can usually get the toe close with a measuring tape, and if you have a camber gauge you can get close on that as well, but you really need to take it into a shop to get it done properly. It's not that it's terribly complicated, just that you need the proper tools (usually a computer with sensors) to read the measurements as you make adjustments.

That said, caster is adjusted at the front of the strut rods. Camber is adjusted with the cam bolts on the LCA's.

I'll probably take it somewhere. I planned on taking it somewhere at first, but thought I might try it myself. Just think I may mess something up.

Don't mean any offense, it's just not something you can do accurately without the proper tools. You should still try to set the toe before you drive it to the shop.

i align my race car most the time
not that hard to do.. you could get it pretty damn close if not right on

You can get it right on if you take your time and understand the measurements you are making.
I did alignments in the mid 70's and we didn't have computers. The cars drove just fine.

If you go to a shop make sure they have experience with classic cars. I have heard many stories where they make it worse or try to set it to the original specs which are not really what you want.

What kind of alignment tool do you have?

Default 66 alignment (with shims)

All of the shops in our area did not want to bother with our "old car". They would not give me a cost estimate and said they would have to charge shop rate by the hour.
I bought the camber/caster tool from Summit Racing and we did our own alignment on the 66. It is just like everything else, Have the right tools, follow directions and understand what it is you are doing. It did take us about 3 hours to do both sides. I do not believe that most shops would have gone to the effort we did to get both sides equal on caster.
I made a page on our website with web links if you want learn HOW to do it. The YouTube sites go through all the steps for camber, caster and toe in adjustments. Even if you dont do your own alignment, it explains it really clearly so you can understand what is done and why.
You can always do your own and then take it to a shop to "check" your settings as an option. Also do not use the "factory specs" because they were for bias ply tires and not performance driving. Daze site has a really good write up on this.
