Smile Wiring Harness Kits

Okay down to the last item before I can be driving my Mustang finally.

I was told by my mechanic/restorer that American Autowire has a harness that he saw at the SEMA show that is better than the Painless one (easier to install so less labor involved). The kit is around $700.00, and I was wondering if anyone has used one, seen one, or knows about them?

Any comments on other brands would be appreciated as well.

Like I said this has turned out to be a 7 month (will be around a 9-10 month) process since I bought my car.

Thanks for all the help and advice.

Oh and Merry Christmas to everyone, incase I'm too busy to log on the next few days.

I used the 69/70 Painless harness and would recommend it to anyone. The installation instructions are available in PDF on their website if you would like to check them out. I am in no means a wiring expert and the kit made it easy. The thing I liked best about it was it passed through the firewall in the original hole.

I have a ron francis retro kit waiting to be installed in my coupe and It looks really easy to install. Im kind of an electronics guru and have a bit of experience so its not really scary anyway. But for under $400 it seemed the way to go for me and it came with the extra correct ford connections, only difference is that the wires are not pre terminated and have to be cut to your own cars length..
