Floor pans
I looked through the forum and seen all the information on how to replace the pans. I havnt seen any information saying if I have to brace the vehicle in any way. The car is on jacks now and I was going to do one side at a time. I will be replacing the entire floor pan to include the seat platform. Any advice will help.
if you are doing just pans no need to brace unless you want to , it wont hurt anything
if you go on to do torque boxes or inner rockers, YOU MUST BRACE IT, or your door will NOT fit, and the top will not function properly
its cheap to get a brand new brace from cj's
and you can sell it when your done
cj's uses a third party set up for parts, so i cant directly link it
its item number DFB at cjponyparts.com

I guess I should have been a little clearer. I dont have a convertible. Does that matter when changing torque boxes? I tried to remove the old floor pan and it seems that the PO at some point braised the floor pan down. So the air hammer was removing too much sheet metal. I will probably go at it with a sawzall.
Ok., so I am getting kinda frustrated putting in the driver side floor boards. I just ordered the rear torque box and doing some research. I have the car on stands at the front and at the rear axles, where else should I brace it before I remove the torque box. My fear would be that I remove it and the vehicle buckles. Should I be worried? Also, is it pretty easy to put in as far as following where it should be placed since I have no quide to follow?
