Default Edelbrock Performer Intake Spacer problem. HELP!!!

has anyone had a problem using the original aluminum spacer with the edelbrock 2121 289/302 performer intake? I am getting wat appears to be an internal vacuum leak. is there a special gasket I have to use? or do i have to use a plastic spacer?

289 4 bbl autolite carb

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kip

You can't use an OE spacer with an aftermarket manifold for exactly this reason. You need to find yourself an aftermarket 2V spacer.

2V = 2 venturi, aka 2 "barrel"
