I have forgotten a ton of what I learned when I was playing with EFI in my '88 Bronco. In looking back at my bookmarks, this is a pretty good website to check out.

LCC, what do you have to do to an auto EEC to make it run in a standard?
Nothing....The diference in the EEC's is the programing A/F ratio curve and the rev limiter is set higher on the auto EEC IV.
